Ananya is a non-profit cultural organization established for promoting, propagating and nurturing the varied cultural art forms of India. Since its inception in 1995, Ananya has been working in the fields of music, literature and painting. It is located in Malleswaram - a suburb of Bangalore known for its cultural patronage.
Sangeeta : Through its multifarious activities, Ananya has been an agent of cultural change in the music world of Karnataka. Apart from conducting weekly concerts by veteran and upcoming musicians alike in its acoustically designed auditorium Sabhangana. Ananya has set up Sangraha, an archives which houses concert music, books and photographs of artists. Abhivyakti, a Kannada monthly journal dedicated to music and fine arts is published by Ananya and circulated free of cost to connoisseurs. With the goodwill of a committed group of medical professionals, Ananya has also set up Arogyadhara, a helpline to provide medical support for needy musicians.
Sahitya : In an attempt at promoting Kannada literature, Ananya has initiated a monthly forum for conducting discussions on topics of current relevance.
Drishya : Through this forum, Ananya aims to bring the art of painting closer to the common people, especially to school children
The activities of Ananya are supported by Geological and Metallurgical Laboratorie (GML), a testing laboratory catering to the quality control requirements of diverse industries. Ananya is a registered trust managed by Dr. R.V. Raghavendra, CEO of GML with the support of the Board of Trustees chaired by Dr. U.R.
